Personality & Quirks: Lian is how to say, a smart ass and brutal. She speaks her mind when and on what she wants (unless it's in royal company). She isn't afraid to tell someone what she thinks (especially if they are lower class). Lian can also act like a spoiled brat and absolutely doesn't understand why royalty would want to deal with common society because of the terrorists and the Black Knights. She is also fairly to naive to how people feel about certain subjects. Lian also holds a grudge against Suzaku - but more against the current Emperor, for what she felt was "using her."
Physical Description: Lian is still a child, coming to 5'1" (155cm). She has black hair, with traditional Chinese and Japanese lineage, that is generally pulled back from her face. When she's amongst the general populous, she wears modern clothing. However when she is at official Royal Functions/Ceremonies/Meetings she wears traditional formal wear of Japan - except in bright reds or greens with golden dragons due to her Chinese heritage. Magical/Physical Abilities: Opposed to other royal family members, Lian's magical abilities are weak and not offensive at all. Most of her magic can come from manipulating nature around her, however most the time she does this in order to help her "see." Lian uses her abilities to "see" the energy (chi) of living creatures. However this leaves her completely blind to anythign man made.
Hobbies: Pulling pranks with her magic, picking on Suzaku, scamming, and dressing up (surprisingly)

History:
Lian's birth was of an attempt of a political truce between Japan and China. Her father, the half-brother of Emperor Kururugi, agreed to marry her mother, a Chinese noblewoman. She was born five years after Suzaku, her half-cousin. Lian was also born blind. The doctors could find no physical reason for it to happen so it was assumed she would at one point posses great powers.

with her lineage, her father and Emperor Kururugi had also arranged a marriage between Lian and Suzaku when she was old enough. Partially for politics, and partially to reassure a magic line would continue through the royal family since Suzaku was born without any. Suzaku and Lian met for the first time when she was five. Things didn't seem to go as planned since they both punched each other.

Due to living far away from the main branch of the royal family, Lian was unable to grow up with Suzaku and his friends. However two years after they had met, Emperor Kururugi suddenly passed away. Lian was present for the funeral with her parents and remembers every detail that she could hear/sense. After the funeral it was announced that the marriage between her and Suzaku was broken off as Suzaku had been banished for his own safety. Lian never admitted to anyone but she felt brushed aside and used by the event.

Lian became her father's adviser when she turned ten. Over the last two years they had moved all over Japan to where Emperor Toshitsugu felt was needed. He recently reassigned Lian and her father to be the Governor of the Ingakankei District in hopes of bringing down the Order of the Black Knights and the terrorists that harbor there. As assistant she generally is present for public events and deals with the paperwork and speaking for her father when he is unable.
